There is a long standing myth that no one wants to hire a mature employee. The staff at Kopar Administration Ltd has taken it upon themselves to prove that myth wrong, and with our great number of successfully placed workers aged 55 and over, we proven that myth to truly be false.
In these uncertain economical times, employers are often unprepared and unwilling to hire the young crowd who lack both work and life experience. Older workers often have a better sense of themselves, the direction of their lives, their work ethic, and their core values. Opportunities North is broken down into a classroom setting where the facilitator will go over the basics of a up-to-date job search, including the new standards of resume and cover letter writing, interview etiquette and expectations. The facilitator will also assess each participant individually, customizing the course content as well as your own personal job search, with your exact needs. In order to ensure that our clients remain competitive with the current job seekers in the community, Kopar provides basic computer training, giving you the tools to know how to utilize modern technology to get you to where you need to be. All mature students, from the computer savvy to the computer illiterate, have benefited from this training and at no cost to the participants. Because each participant’s employment goals differ from one another, Work Training opportunities are available to meet your individual need. With the funding allotted to each participant, Kopar sees no reason for you to not receive only the relevant training that will get you into your desired work force. When you have the tools and the confidence to start applying for work, our facilitator will help you discover great job leads from our own resources as well as assist your own networking. If you are able to work, Kopar is able to present you with that opportunity.
This program is currently available in our Prince George and Smithers offices. Please stop by or give us a call to find out when the next classroom session will begin. An interview list will be compiled on an on-going bases; all that is required in your name and phone number. Interviews will be held shortly before the class begins, and a limited number of applicants will be accepted into the program.
