CAP

The Community Assistance Program is funded by the Province of BC’s Ministry of Social Development and provides multi-barriered clients with a range of lifeskill services and supports to enhance their quality of life and to help them participate more fully in their communities.

CAP is designed to help participants move forward and enhance their quality of life. Kopar Administration understands that not every person currently receiving social assistance is ready to enter the work force for various reasons.  Yet, this does not mean that you cannot move your life forward in a positive direction that will not only improve your self-confidence, but also improve your lifestyle by achieving the goals that you have for yourself.

Our skilled CAP Advisors have helped hundreds of individuals get to where they needed to be, whether that was to school, employment, better housing, better health, or just better growth.   Personal management, communication skills, volunteer readiness, personal planning, and building a support network are just a few of the items Kopar Administration and the Community Assistance Program can assist individuals with.

We at Kopar deem that no barrier is too strong to overcome with the right attitude, and by carefully outlining the smaller steps that get you on the road you wish to travel, you will soon find that you have all of the tools to live the life you most want.  Because of the one-on-one nature of this program, each individual will focus only on their own desired goals, and not someone else’s mandate. It’s your life; let Kopar Administration help you make the most of it!

This program is currently being operated in our Prince George office.

To be eligible for the program you must be receiving BCEA (income assistance) and not currently enrolled in another program.  If you are interested in participating in the program, we have continuous intakes, you need only be referred to us from the Ministry of Social Development, so you can speak to your worker today.
