Job Description

Kopar Administration is seeking an energetic, experienced, process driven, Reception and Resource Hub Worker with strong computer skills to work with our dynamic service delivery team at our new location. Our new location in Prince George operates both the WorkBC PG office and the Kopar head office.

The successful applicant will provide a positive first impression to all individuals who enter the building. Applicants will be experienced with office technologies and computer usage and trouble shooting. Front desk personnel are responsible for greeting, initial screening for various programs, responding to questions and assisting individuals with the use of the self-serve resource hub. The successful applicants must be able to adapt to a changing environment and be able to handle difficult situations, all while projecting a positive image.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Able to utilize a computerized database
  • Meet and greet individuals and answer inquiries in a professional and prompt manner
  • Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot issues surrounding computer usage, particularly in a public environment with multiple levels of users
  • Ability to work as part of a Team and work with differing personalities within that Team. This includes multiple roles but with similar responsibilities within the Team
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing situations and changing environments.
  • Experience working with a diverse clientele and with diverse situations
  • Must pass a criminal record check prior to starting employment
  • Applicants must demonstrate an excellent level of written and verbal communication skills, organization skills, data entry skills and demonstrate accuracy and attention to details.
  • We will have a preference for candidates who are proficient in more than one language as well as experience with policies pertaining to Employment Insurance and Income Assistance.

Preference will be given to those applicants who are able to operate in both of Canada's official languages.

Successful applicants will have a diploma or degree in a related field and a minimum of 1 year experience working in similar position. A similar combination of knowledge and experience will be considered. Only those interviewed will be advised of the results.
