Job Description

Kopar Administration is seeking an energetic, experienced life skills and employment skills Facilitator. We have a brand new program coming on stream in July and are looking for an enthusiastic individual who brings their dynamic range of facilitation skills to the Team.

Working as part of a Team, the successful applicant would be working alongside their co-facilitator, who would also be the Team Lead, and the Job Developer, in delivering an exciting new opportunity to provide training to the Youth of Prince George in order to prepare them for the world of work. The successful candidate must be able to work in a changing environment and be able to handle difficult situations, all while maintaining an employment objective focus.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrated life skills and employment skills facilitation abilities
  • Create, modify and adapt curriculum to meet the needs of the cohort at the time of facilitation, however, maintaining a specific direction with an outcome focused expectation
  • Able to utilize a computerized database
  • Ability to work as part of a Team and work with differing personalities within that Team. In addition to working within the greater Kopar Team as a whole
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing situations and changing environments
  • Experience working with a diverse client base, with diverse situations and individualized learning styles and goals
  • Demonstrated ability to provide conflict resolution both in the classroom and to assist with it in the workplace of the clients
  • Must pass a criminal record check prior to starting employment
  • Experienced time management skills, and a strong ability to prioritize to meet goals. In addition there must be an ability to work within a fluid schedule but within strict parameters and objectives
  • Applicants must demonstrate an excellent level of written and verbal communication skills, organization skills, data entry skills and demonstrate accuracy and attention to details.

Preference will be given to those applicants who are able to operate in both of Canada's official languages.

Successful applicants will have a diploma or degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 year’s experience working in a similar position. A similar combination of knowledge and experience will be considered. Only those interviewed will be advised of the results of their application.
